Curriculum

“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.”

caption Our curriculum brings to the learners the best of both the worlds. It unites the educational approach in India and in the West, to form a program of study that ensures a sense of identity, spiritualism and ethics in the learners with a scientific understanding of their individual needs. With a curriculum designed and developed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), we prepare our learners for the All India Secondary School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for class 12.

The school lays special emphasis on English language. We offer a fully equipped English Training Laboratory as an attempt to support the learning of the widely spoken language.

ASSESMENT & EVALUATION

As per the CBSE guidelines the CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) will be followed from grades I to X.

The recent assessment pattern prescribed by CBSE for secondary grades has been implemented consisting of three periodic tests followed by an Annual Examination. A more broad based design of assessment is followed in Primary classes with four periodic tests. Co-curricular activities are given due to importance in assessment.
Overall the assessment and evaluation system is continuous and comprehensive in spirit.

Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation - Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation refers to a system of school based evaluation of students that covers all aspects of development. The scheme is thus a curricular initiative, attempting to shift emphasis from testing to holistic learning. It aims at creating good citizens possessing sound health, appropriate skills and desirable qualities, apart from academic excellence. It is hoped that this will equip the learners to meet the challenges of life with confidence and success. The student shall be assessed for both scholastic and co-curricular excellence.

We at TWGS believe that 25% of the learning happens through experimental and exploratory learning and ample opportunities and tools are provided to the students for the same for him/her to become a thinker and a logical questioner.
